Special Events

Classic Films @ Christ Church

On the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm the church organises a film show of older movies from the 1930's and '40's or later if they are out of copyright. Tea and coffee are served halfway through the film.

On 20 February “Charade” will be the choice. This is a 1963 romantic comedy starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn) falls for Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) on a skiing holiday in the French Alps but discovers, upon her return to Paris, that her husband has been murdered. He, together with three cronies, stole a quarter of a million dollars in WW2 while behind enemy lines. Why do Regina and Peter chase the three cronies and why does Peter keep changing his name?

On Tuesday 20 March the film will be "Road to Bali", a 1952 comedy  starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope & Dorothy Lamour.
